Grilled Cedar Plank Salmon

I made another trip to Whole Foods today but this time I walked out with something better than chocolate.

There is something wonderful about enjoying fresh fish in the summer, especially wild caught salmon grilled on a cedar plank.

This recipe is so easy but the flavor is far from simple.  It’s kind of like a firework for your taste buds as they pick up hints of paprika, brown sugar, thyme and cedar mixed with the rich texture of the salmon.

All you need to make our favorite fish is a little Rub with Love; you can try to make your own but we can never can get the combination right.

Ingredients: brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, thyme

Rub the seasoning all over the salmon and don’t get skimpy!  Grab a cedar plank that has been soaking in water for 2 hours, place the salmon on the plank and grill over 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes.  Try to keep the grill closed as long as possible.

When it’s done, you have this:

My favorite summer meal!
