On the Hunt

Tonight marks our 9th night in a hotel; fortunately our room is large and we have a full kitchen and other amenities.  We hoped to have a home by now but between the Waldo Canyon Fire evacuees and those who lost their homes entirely we are in a bit of a holding pattern.  Though things have not worked out as we planned, we feel fortunate to have a roof over our heads after hearing the heartbreaking stories of those who lost everything.  We love to see the sweet, homemade signs of appreciation but have heavy hearts about the reason these signs exist.

Despite our housing setbacks, we enjoyed our first week and managed to explore a bit of this beautiful place. I can’t upload many pictures because of the hotel’s unpredictable wireless connection but you can follow along on Instagram!

I promise to be back soon with more recipes, beauty & cleaning tips and the usual once I get slightly established and find a reliable internet connection.
