Getting Back to Nature

We are back from a quick Tour de Arizona which would not have been complete without a hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, a little off-roading in Sedona and a deliciously cheesy Mexican lunch in Scottsdale.

On our first morning in Grand Canyon National Park we were greeted by 35 degree temperatures and sleet!  Winter coats were unfortunately necessary, let’s say I was not a very happy camper.

Bob took this picture as I shivered through sunset, it is the sun’s reflection on a tree limb looking out into the Canyon…

Here is a picture of the view as we hiked down the 7 mile South Kaibab trail.

The muddy Colorado River…

Sedona at sunset.

Our first true off-road adventure in our Jeep!  Not exactly a green vehicle but there are just some things we are not prepared to give up 🙂

It was a challenging and relaxing weekend and it gave us the opportunity to unplug and connect with nature.  Today I am trying to catch up to reality!
